The following needs to be noted when using steam tables:

  • The pressure is absolute pressure.

  • Meaning that you need to work it out when given gauge pressure as follows:

Absolute pressure = Gauge pressure + atmospheric pressure

  • If atmospheric pressure is not given, assume it to be 101,3 kPa.
